Sustainability

We at GINSTR - Stuttgart Dry Gin attach great importance to sustainability and environmental protection. It starts with the selection of our botanicals, all of which grow in the region or come from local dealers. In this way, we not only support regional agriculture and trade, but also avoid unnecessary transport routes. GINSTR is a 100% natural product, without any additives, coloring or preservatives. This is not only good for the environment, it is also good for your health.

 

Our labels, as well as our gift packaging and wooden boxes, are made from FSC® softwood. Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is an international certification system for more sustainable forest management. The wood we use therefore comes exclusively from European forests that are managed responsibly.

Long before the issue of the one-way plastic ban was even discussed, we at GINSTR were already relying on biodegradable drinking straws. Our PLA straws have always been made exclusively of renewable materials. PLA consists of corn starch and lactic acid and is biodegradable and compostable.

The filling material of our shipping boxes (packaging chips) also consists exclusively of corn starch flakes, which are 100% compostable.

Just like our gin itself, the components of the packaging and bottle are completely vegan. This also includes the selection of the adhesive for our labels, which, in contrast to the adhesives used by many other manufacturers, does not contain any animal products.

In order to give our employees the opportunity to get to work in an environmentally conscious manner, we offer all employees the opportunity to lease a JobBike. In this way, the environment can also be relieved on the daily commute.
